Canada Day In Halifax 2011

We visited the Halifax Commons for July !st celebrations. They had the Micmac teepees set up to view . Lots of tents to sell the artistic creations made by the micmac

This tent had a cafe sign I thought was rather funny, so did Terry.

This fountain has been at the commons for many years.

Pretty

A soldier stands guard at  Citadal Hill

I remember when the Union Jack was our flag. We finally got the Maple leaf flag in 1967

Some helicopters flew over the crowd at the Halifax Waterfront

Next a tour of the Alexander Keiths Brewery

This place used to be the brewery and is used now for shops.

A view of the bridge

The fireworks from  Alderney Landing in Dartmouth

They were very nice . My camera doesn't take great pics of objects like that but we were happy to capture some shots.Next year we are going in closer for the full effect.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Canada Day celebrations in their own way , We sure did.
